Dr Goh Keng Swee (GKS) Scholarship
The Dr Goh Keng Swee (GKS) Scholarship is a private scholarship set up by the Singapore financial community, and is administered by the Association of Banks in Singapore. Each year, 3-4 scholarships are awarded to outstanding individuals from the Asia-Pacific region to pursue undergraduate studies in Singapore Universities.
COURSE OF STUDY
The scholarship is tenable for undergraduate studies in Singapore commencing in Jul/Aug each year. The courses of study should preferably be relevant (but not compulsory) to the financial sector. All courses will be conducted in English.

Individuals from the following Asia Pacific regions are invited to apply for Dr Goh Keng Swee Scholarship.
Brunei
Cambodia
Hong Kong India
Indonesia
Japan Korea
Laos
Malaysia Myanmar
Philippines
PRC Taiwan
Thailand
Vietnam
Please note that applicants must:-
Concurrently apply for admission to the Singapore universities for their intended course of study. Applicants are required to adhere to the respective university’s admission deadlines and guidelines.
Possess good co-curricular activities records that highlight your leadership qualities.
Obtained an acceptable English score; and.
Preferably be below 25 years of age.
TERMS OF SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship will cover the minimum duration (around 3 to 4 years) required for completion of the undergraduate course. It will provide for the following:
Tuition and other compulsory fees;
Return economy air passage to and from home country; and
Annual Maintenance allowance
The award will be reviewed annually subject to satisfactory performance and academic results.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
Scholarship application forms and details are available at the Singapore Missions in the respective countries. Requests for application forms by post must be accompanied by a postage paid self-addressed envelope.
The 2008 Dr Goh Keng Swee (GKS) Scholarship application has closed on 31 December 2007. Application for the 2009 Dr Goh Keng Swee (GKS) Scholarship will open in mid-November 2008.
